Nakilala ni Irish si Jeff noong panahong nuknukan pa siya ng pasaway sa eskuwelahang pinapasukan nila. Seatmate niya si Jeff—ang instant pero masungit na crush niya. Hindi naman nagtagal ay nabawasan ang pagiging masungit nito sa kanya. Dumating pa sa puntong naging tutor niya ito sa academics dahil tagilid ang grades niya. Si Jeff din ang dahilan kung bakit naisip niyang magbago.
Ngunit sadyang sinubukan si Irish ng tadhana. Nakulong siya at ang isang kaklase niyang lalaki sa loob ng CR ng eskuwelahan nila. Kagagawan iyon ng isang kaklase niya na nagseselos dahil sa atensiyong ibinibigay ni Jeff sa kanya. Noon lang niya nakitang nagalit nang matindi si Jeff. Pakiramdam niya ay nadurog nang pinong-pino ang puso niya. Sumabay pa roon ang problema niya sa pamilya kaya bigla siyang umalis ng bansa.
Maraming taon ang lumipas, bumalik si Irish sa Pilipinas. Dumalo siya sa high school reunion ng batch niya. At laking gulat niya nang agawin siya ni Jeff sa lalaking kasayaw niya. Bakit tila nagseselos ito? At bakit pakiramdam niya ngayon ay ito pa rin ang lalaking para sa kanya? Akala niya ay nabura na ito sa puso’t isipan niya. Mali pala siya. At mali rin pala ang pagkukumbinsi niya sa sariling anumang ugnayan mayroon sila ni Jeff noon ay bunga lang ng kanilang kabataan.

PLOT
The plot was okay, aside from the falling out scene of the
hero and heroine. It has the formula of romance. Fluid run of scenes and believable characters.
POINT OF VIEW
The transitions were good, though I still prefer the hero’s
deepest desires to be secret in this type of short novel.
CHARACTERS
JEFF
Jeff’s character had lots of potential. But sometimes he flies
out of character. Maybe it’s because there wasn’t much history about his life where he can pull his character from. What shaped his personality? Where did his motivations come from?
What are his aspirations in life? Even at the end, he was still overpowered by
Irish’s character. Even though he loved her, he didn't live up to the hero machismo when
they met again. I like his sweetness, though. He's the guy I would want to seat beside with in high school.
IRISH
I like how the author made Irish’s character. With the kind
of family she had, most authors will make the heroine a hateful daughter or
something. But she accepted who she was instead. I appreciated her sticking to
her family. I also loved how she ended up: Matured and in control of her life.
It’s just sad that Jeff wasn’t able to catch up with her.
And may I just say that I got a crush on her Kuya Ira? The story
of his life would be interesting. ;)
MEANING
It doesn’t matter what the family business is. What matters
is family.

OTHER DETAILS
Medyo nakulangan ako sa impact nang pagkikita ng dalawang
characters. But I love the innocence of their intimate encounters in the first
chapter. Napaniwala akong high school students sila.
I like the plot development. Nakita na may patutunguhan
considering ang tipo ng pamilya at buhay mayroon si Irish. I could believe that
their lifestyle exists.
Medyo awkward ako sa “falling out” scene nina Jeff at Irish.
Tingin ko medyo naging out of character si Jeff dito. I didn’t expect him to
burst out like that. Maybe if there were more hints about this passionate side of
Jeff, he would be entitled for that outburst. O, siguro, kung may pinaghuhugutan
si Jeff, puwede pa. Nakakabigla yung emotions. Parang hindi si Jeff.
The love scene was okay. And I like Jeff's determination to woo Irish. He's someone I would like to be chasing me. :D
My favorite scene was Jeff’s embarrassment upon Irish’s
accidental discovery of “him”. Naughty, naughty.
Jeff got the best dialogues. He sure had a way with words.
CONCLUSION
Over all, it was a nice and light read. I can imagine it to
be on TV since the scenes are realistic. Good job.
